This website is run by Climate Action 100+. The following text describes what personal data we collect, why we collect it and how we manage it. We will not use personal data that you provide to us in a manner inconsistent with the purposes for which you provided it to us, as set out below.

CONTACT FORMS

We collect your data via the join form when you express interest in joining the initiative. This data is used so that we are able to follow-up with your enquiry by contacting you on the email or telephone number provided. We will not provide any of these details to any third party except for the regional Climate Action 100+ coordinating networks who may use this data for onboarding and for engagement coordination purposes. This includes business contacts, business email addresses and assets under management (only used for providing an aggregate total of all signatories).

ACCOUNT CREATIONS

For users that register for an account on our website, we store your name and email address in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

COOKIES

A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer when you visit a website. Cookies have many different uses. For example, they can store information to help you enter a site without having to log in. They can also help a website remember your preferred settings so it loads them on your next visit.

    Used by Google DoubleClick to register and report the website user’s actions after viewing or clicking one of the advertiser’s ads with the purpose of measuring the efficacy of an ad and to present targeted ads to the user

    Used to check if the user’s browser supports cookies
  • VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE
    Tries to estimate the users’ bandwidth on pages with integrated YouTube videos.
  • YSC
    Registers a unique ID to keep statistics of what videos from YouTube the user has seen.
  • yt-remote-cast-installed
    Stores the user’s video player preferences using embedded YouTube video
  • yt-remote-connected-devices
    Stores the user’s video player preferences using embedded YouTube video
  • yt-remote-device-id
    Stores the user’s video player preferences using embedded YouTube video
  • yt-remote-fast-check-period
    Stores the user’s video player preferences using embedded YouTube video
  • yt-remote-session-app
    Stores the user’s video player preferences using embedded YouTube video
  • yt-remote-session-name
    Stores the user’s video player preferences using embedded YouTube video

If you visit our signatories login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

EMBEDDED CONTENT FROM OTHER WEBSITES

Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH

Your data may be accessed by the Climate Action 100+ coordinating networks. We do not share, sell, rent or lease personal data with other third parties. Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to help us improve this website. We currently use Google Analytics for web traffic and usage analysis.

We also use social sharing buttons provided by services like Twitter and LinkedIn. Your use of these third party services is entirely optional. We are not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices of these third party services, and you are responsible for reading and understanding those third party services’ privacy policies.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA

We ensure that personal data is retained only for as long as necessary in accordance with the above purposes and applicable laws. We may be required to retain your personal data for a number of years in order to satisfy legal or contractual obligations, or in order to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. When your personal data is no longer necessary for these purposes, the personal data will be deleted.

WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA

For users that register for an account on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes—or data that was submitted to Climate Action 100+ through other means (email, telephone, etc.).
